Mid April is a great time to make a trip to the beautiful Rappahannock River to fish for Shad. Mother nature usually provides warm weather and pink and white blossoms on the trees along the river. The trip takes us to Fredricksburg, VA which is a very historical town offering many interesting places to visit and see in your leisure time. See the SPRING SHAD page for all of the details.
This has been a “bread & butter” trip for us for many years. Sight fishing for six to ten pound average fish is the norm. Beautiful fall foliage and excellent weather make for a wonderful day on the stream. Watching a Steelhead take your offering and take off like a rocket is an exciting experience.
