Cumberland County in south-central Pennsylvania offers many places of interest. It is a very historic area.
The capital of PA is Harrisburg and is about 40 minutes from Boiling Springs. The Capitol building and Pennsylvania State Museum are just a few attractions there.
Hershey, PA home of Hershey Park, is about 50 minutes away.
Gettysburg National Historic Park and Battlefield is 30 minutes south of Boiling Springs.
Carlisle is the county seat of Cumberland county, 6 miles from Boiling Springs. The US Army War College is located there and has recently built the U.S. Army Heritage & Education Center which is free admission and open to the public.
Also, located in Carlisle and very worth visiting for fishermen is the PA Flyfishing Heritage Museum on Shady Lane, Carlisle.
